Belize Covid-19 Restrictions
Face masks are required at all times in public and 6 feet physical distancing. You can be ticketed for not properly wearing a face mask.
Face mask are no longer required when moving on motorcycles, golf carts, or similar vehicles.
Sunday to Wednesday from 10:00 pm to 5:00am
Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 am to 5:00 am
Dine-in is allowed at all restaurants by reservation.
There is a BZ $1,000 fine for non-compliance with host country rules regarding social distancing, movement restrictions, mask mandates, etc.
Per the Quarantine Authority upon entering Belize at PGIA, anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be placed in a mandatory quarantine center designated by the Quarantine Authority of Belize. Persons will be placed into quarantine at their own cost, which may be up to $110 per day for accommodation and three meals.
Once you potentially contract the COVID-19 virus while you're in Belize, you're advised to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days or until you receive a negative COVID-19 test from Belize Ministry of Health MOH.
Travelers to Belize must test negative for Covid-19 virus and are required to book accommodations and tours with approved Gold Standard Hotel or Tour Operators. All travelers returning to the USA must have a negative Covid-19 test 1-3 days before boarding return flight.
